Fall Style & Fashion Shows
As we step into fall, it's the perfect time to embrace cozy layers, vibrant accessories, and Indigenous artistry. At Apache Selections, we're here to help you navigate seasonal trends, prepare for holiday gifting, and stay connected with the vibrant world of Native fashion.
Fall Fashion Tips
Our collection blends tradition with contemporary style. For fall layering, consider pairing the Mesh Mock Neck Top ($30) with an our Vintage Fully Beaded Cardigan ($68), for a chic yet warm look. Accessorize with statement pieces like the Abalone Bird Fetish Drop Earrings ($30) or the Emerald Abalone Drop Earrings ($30) for that perfect pop of color.
Looking for something versatile and elegant? The Jasmine Jacquard Dress ($48) is a must-have that transitions easily from day to night—style it with the All Over Mesh Mary Jane Ballet Flats ($28) for a polished look.

Native Fashion Exhibition at the Spencer Museum of Art
If you’re passionate about exploring Native American fashion, be sure to visit the Spencer Museum of Art’s “Native Fashion” exhibition, which runs until January 2025. The Spencer Museum of art is located on the University of Kansas campus, in the heart of Lawrence. I had the pleasure of working on this exhibition over the past year and a half. It’s been an amazing experience to work with the curator for public practice, Sydney Pursel, Iowa tribe of Kansas and Nebraska, and Dominique Stringer as well as the Native advisors, including Kansas Representative Christina Haswood, Diné; Alicia Swimmer, Oglala and Sicangu Lakota; Felicia Miner, Cheyenne River Sioux; and Miranda Bradford, Citizen Potawatomi Nation. This exhibition highlights how fashion plays a role in Indigenous identity, with themes like Resilience, Representation, Resistance, and Relations. Artists such as Teri Greeves, Chris Pappan and my personal favorite Jontay Kahm, showcase the intersection of tradition and modernity, featuring items from moccasins to contemporary streetwear, further emphasizing the continued relevance of Indigenous design. This exhibition is a great way to dive deeper into the creative power of Indigenous fashion and how it shapes cultural expression (Medicine Man Gallery)(Native Max).
